The role
Combine practical site work with reliable driving and material deliveries across Guernsey.
Join Black Rock in a varied role supporting our building sites and keeping materials moving between suppliers and jobs. Alongside driving, you will work with the team on preparation, loading, general labouring and keeping sites tidy. Tom is looking for someone dependable, organised and comfortable speaking to suppliers, clients and the people on site.
Pay: Pay agreed with Tom, based on your experience, qualifications and the responsibilities of the role.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and deliver agreed materials, tools and equipment
- Check loads, secure materials and look after the vehicle you use
- Support the team with loading, unloading and general site labouring
- Plan collections and deliveries with Tom around the building programme
- Keep delivery information, work areas and access routes organised
Experience and requirements
- A valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle being used; tell us your licence categories
- Practical driving experience and confidence finding sites across Guernsey
- Previous labouring or building-site experience
- Safe handling of tools and materials and care when loading vehicles
- Reliable timekeeping, clear communication and a helpful approach to varied tasks
